About me
My own work often revolves around music and nature, and design heritage is integral to my practice as I enjoy exploring the inter-relationship between the past, present and future of design. Illustration, writing and publication design are things that are particularly interesting to me at the moment. If you want to discuss a project with me or just want a chinwag, please feel free to contact me at zakkhaslamdesign@gmail.com

Folklore for Modern FolkFolklore for Modern Folk aims to be a companion to our everyday lives, bridging the gap between the mundane and the fascinating, the real and unreal. This project can help us to see the fascinating side of everyday life through British folklore. Using marginalia and inserts in a seemingly mundane book, a whole other narrative is expressed.

Burry Man Risograph PrintThis Risograph print features four layers to make the final image. Yellow and blue are combined to make green, using a halftone texture to blend the colours of the two layers. The diversity of Final Major Projects demonstrates the unique, in depth design processes each of
  • MARTINI: Let's make time!
MARTINI: Let's make time!Martini want to expand the reach of their Let’s Make Time campaign whilst encouraging an as-of-yet untapped market of young people to drink Martini. We address this by making Martini something to talk about. As a way to bring people together through the Martini brand, we incorporate a board game into a limited-edition Martini bottle package; the Martini box is an all-in-one game; ready to play. The board game is a modernised version of the traditional Italian game, Game of the Goose. When the
