About me
Over the past five years, I have cultivated a robust career in independent podcast production, focusing on leveraging sound, audio, and emerging media platforms to foster meaningful dialogues on critical issues like gender equality, feminism, immigration, diaspora life, and human rights.
In 2024, I launched Feminists Unspeakable CIC, a bilingual independent magazine aimed at amplifying the voices of Chinese feminists in the diaspora. This venture merges traditional print media with digital platforms and other new media, employing creative methods to discover, publish, and promote feminist works.
Projects
- Creative visual language of feminist typographyGoing over the visual language of feminist typography, we noticed how heavily weighted black typefaces are predominately used to emphasize the power of feminism, such as an attempt, an eagerness, to speak louder and be heard. This is for sure, a very important part of feminism, of a Chinese feminist identity, but is there anything else? It’s hard to find a language to describe what femininity feels like, or what feminism looks like. It is a colorful concept, it is tough, but also soft; it is so
