AGE UK is doing a weekly care package for vulnerable old people who are home alone, are you able to donate any food or products?

Age UK, the leading charity for older people, is doing a weekly delivery to vulnerable older people who live alone during COVID-19.

They're starting in West London and then scaling up nationwide.
These care packages predominantly contain food/ drinks but they're also looking for  things that might cheer them up e.g. We're giving them some SUITCASE Magazines.

If any of you would like to contribute food/ drinks/ fun things please let me know. Many of them are feeling very lonely and worried. They would only need 200-300 of whatever you are able to donate and would so appreciate it.

Thank you so much!

  • Hey Serena!
I dont know if this is considered an option, but I'm writing letters to friends - in addition to utilising virtual communications of course. Writing letters about life or personal stories usually. Would that help? I could get my family in on it and produce 200ish letters. But I'm based East - don't know if that helps?

    Warmest,
    Zainab

  • Hello, with lots of time at home, I have had a clear out and have piles of Conde Nast mags plus other independents/glossies/supplements from mid '90s and 2000s. A bit out of date, but trying to find a good home or for recycling in creative activities at this time, instead of just throwing away. Please let me know what you think. Have contacted local places like Work and Play Scrapstore in Wandsworth, and Collage Club London, but is just a matter of how to get them to you, if they are useful. Let me know your thoughts, Thankyou, Sally
  • Can I make some cake pops with little positive notes attached to them? Let me know and I can make around 200 to begin with? Especially with Easter around the corner, may be nice :)
