Anyone on here worked on podcasts? Either the content research and creation or the marketing / promotion part - not production, Thanks

  • @Michael Piggott Wow. Sounds like you'll know quite a lot then. I'm looking for people who have experience in coming up with concepts and researching content for podcasts. And then if they have experience with the promotion side of things once they're created. We are just about to launch www.thehorsesmouth.co making podcasts for brands. We have the tech / audio team in place, and have lots of brand experience. Now we're looking for more content and promotion skills. Thanks, Mike
  • @Elizabeth Rose Arifien just had a look at your Dots profile and the Move Beyond Words url is misspelt... so the link doesn't work. Sorry can't help telling people stuff like this - it's the writer's burden!
  • @Lizzie Bourne LOVE your project. What a beautiful subject to take on and share. And the bananas are very fruity. My questions are about finding people who are great at coming up with great ideas for podcasts, researching them and scripting them out - potentially for clients. And then also looking for great social media people / podcast people who know the most effective ways to promote them. What you think? Is that you or anyone you know? Thanks, Mike
  • @Elizabeth Rose Arifien Thanks so much. Your podcast sounds fascinating - I think you'll have another listener as soon as I get a chance! We're looking for people who are good at researching and scripting podcasts, coming up with compelling names and descriptors as well as people who have had success with promoting the podcasts too. Is that something you'd be interested in? Or if you know anyone who you'd recommend? Thanks again!
  • @Claire Pearce Thanks - sounds great. I'm really interested in finding people who are good at researching and developing content for podcasts, and if they have experience with naming and writing all the descriptors etc - and then promoting on social. Thanks!
  • Hi Mike, I created (very easily) my podcast Write Enjoy Repeat via Anchor (owned by Spotify) - it's an incredible app that does it all for you (apart from the content of course!), no additional equipment needed. It gets posted on Spotify, Itunes etc without my having to do anything. I promote it via Instagram but need to work on this. I interview every day people about writing, what it gives them, why people should try it etc., so there's not content research required.

  • Hello Mike, We have a podcast called Move Beyond Words which has reach an audience of15,000 people and explores the often missunderstood world of dyslexia. We speak to the likes of Darcy Bussell, Adelle Tracey and other wonderful and inspiring creatives who dance with the label of dyslexia. Charlotte Edmonds and I conceptualised and developed each script. Happy to chat. https://www.movebeyondwords.co.uk/podcast
  • Hello! Yes, currently creating www.happydaysprojectpodcast.com and Eggshells, a podcast on how to disagree effectively, and I'm deep in the content creation and marketing bits atm! What are your questions?
  • Yep. Created and launched The Marketing Society pod channel end of 2018. Grew it to over 20,000 listens in two years. What do you want to know?
  • I'm doing this right now for a one of my own and recently attended a great webinar by @Alexandra (Lex) Hearth and collegue about the start up process!
Not sure if this helps! :)
