Bit of a niche shout out, but is anyone aware of any workshops on "How to Network" aimed at people who have autism?

A big drawback in running my own business that I have found over the years is that I am terrible at networking – knowing where to start, how to do it, etc. I have asked for tips in the past but the guidance really hasn't hit the spot for me.

In a separate revelation, it turns out my Dad is autistic and the implication is that I may well be too, which may explain my struggle to network well.

Ideally I'm looking for some detailed workshop type scenario or maybe some coaching to give me practise so I can really learn from the bottom up how to approach networking as a complete process.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • Hey Chris,
Not heard of any workshops aimed at people with autism - there's definitely a gap in the market. Maybe you can approach companies who run workshops on similar topics and ask them if they would be willing to create one. Coaching would be an alternative. I'm sure there are coaches that specialise in coaching people with autism.

A quick google brought this up. You can always contact a coach and ask if they know of workshops etc.

    Best of luck.
  • Hey Chris, I'm in exactly the same boat with this - can't help but would love to learn!
