Content without insight is spam.
Before you post some content ask yourself why?
Some bad answers I've heard sound a bit like this;
- Because we need to post everyday.
- Because we haven't posted in a long time.
- Because we need to have a picture of this.
- For the algorithm innit?
Turning up for the sake of it is just wasting space.
Insight is different. Insight is your particular deep understanding of something that you communicate in your own special way. It's exciting and a little scary —
If you don't get scared before you hit publish then you probably didn't say anything worthwhile.
It's scary because you took a stance on something.
+ Because you might divide people.
+ Because it's vulnerable.
+ Because you might be making a decision before you have all the information.
And all of that is what the people you want to reach are really after.
Insight > content.
