Digital agencies / Sales people - What do you think is a fair and reasonable commission rate?
Hey guys,
I'm doing a bit of research around commission/referral rates with digital agencies.
What do you guys think is a reasonable commission rate when an external salesperson consistently refers quality and vetted clients/customers to you?
Really appreciate the feedback!

- Hi Jordan,I think 10-20 % would be a reasonable rate. also depends upon on the mutual agreement.
- Hi Jordan,I would say it's 10-20% of the projects' profit that he bringed in. I do know this is what majority of the creative agencies charge in London.
- Hi Jordan, a commission is based on two main factors:- One, the size of the project, the bigger the project the more money the agency will do therefore the bigger the commision should be (in a retainer case you can even ask for a monthly fee over a few months)- Two, is the work you are doing for the connection, like is it a simple referal or you are actualy doing some sales ground work or even client management. But to answer your question, it is usualy between 5% to 20% - You can ask 15% and see what happen!
