  • @Gifty Dzenyo Yeah I only found out recently myself! Cat's out of the bag now though :-)
  • @Gifty Dzenyo Oh yeah, I hear you. I've had that too, like a lot of us probbably, haha.
  • @Kid Circus haha yes I need to get back into that mind frame. I'm not sre if its FOMO and fear of the algorithm messing up my visibility
  • @Aitana Enciso Sometimes in my mind I need to post everyday but I feel like its good to post fewer too.Thank you!
  • @Ushila Dosieah This is probably what I need to do. Sometimes it feel daunting not posting simply as the algorithm is messed up - but you're right! I need to be authentic. Thank you!
  • @Charlotte Rick Thank you so much for this! I'm definitely going to look at a scheduler now and be more proactive with it
  • @richard larson oh wow I didnt know facebook had one, will defintely check that out! Thank you
  • @Lydia Cline Thank you Lydia, I agree. I need to really sit down and plan out my content that way it wont stress me out as much
  • @Louise Honey Thank you for this! youre right! sometimes I post for the sake of posting even though I know I may not be feeling it, but I definitely will take on your advice.
  • Other people have said it but Scheduling is the way to go. This is why social media is a job as well. Anyone can post once or twice. It’s difficult to consistently post or get results.

I have used a bunch of the major schedulers. It depends what platforms you’re going to use. Buffer & Hootsuite are great. I also use a google doc spreadsheet to make sure my content is varied. Come up with categories and it will be easier to do that. Hope this helps.
  • As others have mentioned, a scheduler is a big help here. I've just started to explore Facebook Creative Suit's scheduler and it looks like it'll save me a lot of headaches.
  • My top tip is to use a scheduling tool! For our own company (and clients) we use Hootsuite (the free version - you can connect 3 accounts and then schedule up to 30 posts) though there are a few out there that are free to use. I then set some time aside to schedule posts out - whether these be daily, every other day, twice a week.. I find it helps from doing it manually as it's a quicker, and once it's done it's done! It also makes it easier to post more consistently and at peak times :)
  • I agree with Aitana & Louise. You shouldn't ever feel like you're not posting often enough. Sometimes I'll have enough stuff I'm happy with that I might post on Instagram 3 or 4 days straight during one week. Other times I've gone for weeks, nay months without posting and I don't feel any kind of way about it.

If it feels right, I post. If it doesn't, I've got things to be getting on with haha.
  • Posting non stop its exhausting. Posting few posts, but consisting, can be a therapy too.

  • Hey Gifty, I do and I think it's totally fine for it not to be consistent if I doesn't feel right to you. Personally I prefer to work in a way that posts infrequently but high quality to match my energy and thinking process at the time. With the amount of information on Instagram infrequent but quality posts capture my attention best. Take note of the sort of thing you like to see and when you feel your best self after posting - I don't believe there are any set rules other than learning how you work best for your own success.
