- @Susanna Hickling Thank you for replying!Yes I have but I guess I'll keep doing that
- @Murugiah . Thank you for replying!I have been trying for a few years now.Not sure what I'm doing wrong.I'll check the link, thanks!
- @Michael Arnold Thank you for replying!I have been sending emails for a few years now. Most illustration Agencies say that my style is not suitable and I rarely get commissions from emailing people.Hopefully it will get better at some point.
- It's really hard whenyou're first starting out, an agent would be really beneficial if you can find one. If not then you need to spend a significant portion of your day finding Art Directors and Designers and emailing them directly. Make the email short & polite, briefly describing your style and any previous clients with a link to your portfolio. Don't be disheartened if you don't hear back immediately, I have had jobs come through 2 years after I had first contacted them. Good luck!Ps. I actually wrote a bit more about this on Medium if you are interested https://link.medium.com/jM4mdjzuVY
- Maybe send emails with your work to Art directors of magazines and newspapers? Although I’m guessing you’ve already done that?
