Does the creative industry (particularly design/branding) need more unions?

I hear a lot about how the industy is unregulated, how devalued the work has become. What are people's thoughts? Are there legitimate ways that creative professionals can unanimously solve problems within our trade?

    I would agree with you. It's challenging because there are associations, but they don't always feel accessible due to the application process, fees and beauracy. However, associations (like the DBA) do support.

    There are other groups like Ladies, Wine & Dine and CreativeMornings, but they are not necessarily unions.

    That said, The Dots feels like a safe place, and there is a hive of activity. So, perhaps this is a good place to start? :-)
