Feedback on my portfolio

Hi! I'm hoping if someone could give me some advice for my portfolio website? Any positives/negatives or anything that I could improve or change? Thank you!

  • @Nath Day Hi! Thank you so much for the advice. I think I'm still trying to understand how i want to communicate my personality through the website and can often try to make things too perfect but I will definitely work on this :)
  • Your portoflio is amazing! On a larger screen to size of the images can be a bit overwelming but overwise fantastic. What did you use to create the webiste?
  • Hey Mira,

Agree with what Geoffrey was saying about the wordmark used on the site, there's other things like formatting on menu bars where they don't all sit on one line. This translates as a little sloppy and attention to detail with these things is super important for first impressions.

The other main thing I would say is that you should breathe a little more personality into the site, it's rather a minimalist and simple layout, but doesn't excite much or translate your character or work well. This would also go for the copy on the landing page, maybe a little more about you?

    Hope this helps! :)
  • @Geoffrey Bunting Thank you so much for the feedback! I will keep this in mind and make improvements :)
  • Two things that leap out:
    1) That balloon/metallic logomark is very hard to read, coming from someone with cognitive disabilities.
    2) You're going to want to get some new work up and focussed on the kind of work you want to attract (be it freelance or in studio) because there is a certain spread of projects that most art directors will know is student work (penguin brief, especially). You can do that by self-initiating projects to help you develop in things you enjoy.
  • Really nice work. Like the variety, well laid out and easy to navigate. Great work!
