  • Lovely work indeed, just need a bit of trimming and polishing interms of content arrangment and presentations.

Thanks for sharing your portfolio, the creativity is outstanding.
  • Heya, Lovely portfolio, some great stuff in there. I have a few bits of feedback:
Page 2 I would put your bio in 2 coloumns or the left hand side of the page to break it up, as its hard to read when sentances fit across the page.
I would avoid ratings of how skilled you are with software, as recruiters/employers are unsure of how much you really know. You could change this to how many years of experience you have in them.
You could show a little more personality in your cv by adding in hobbies and interests.

Page 3 just need an uppercase I.

Your links to your behance or website aren't working for me when I click on them, might be one to double check.

You could zoom in on your mockups of your posters as these are the key thing you want to show off.

Page 7: would you be able to explain that project as people who aren't into football may not understand what you have done. If you created a full typeface showing that off would be great.

Page 19 I recon you could expand on this project showing an ad poster of the product.

Page 20 double space before Linkedin.

Everything else looks really good. love the layouts, and how you present the title and copy of each product. you could even create smaller portfolios if the roles you are applying for are very specific.

Hope this helps you, if you want to talk through it some more, drop me a message. Good luck in getting your new role!

    Thanks

    Mikyla
  • From a marketer perceptive, I agree with Daniel. I would love to see your personality shine through a bit more, and that also can really help with having less project driven content and more concepts.

People buy from people, I still stand by that!
  • @Daniel Hawley-Lingham hi, its a mix of both freelance and college.

I've been freelancing while studying since 2017. My problem is that I cannot show more freelance works due to signing NDAs so my portfolio are based on my concepts.

Prehaps I need to change the tone and add less to try and make it as impactful as possible.

  • Hi Miles - is this college/student related work? Overall it's of a very high standard. However, I am not sure how coherent it feels or where your voice/style is. Less might be more. Hold back or go deep on some aspects. Adapt your portfolios for different audiences. You've got a great foundation.
  • @Philip King Thank-you. I feel like the UK Job market and recruiters are very picky and manipulative. I have just been having a bad time getting a job or companies looking at my portfolio. I want to get someone's approach other than my family and friends. Much appreciated :)

PS. love your projects, really nice!
  • I’ve nothing to say about the work except that it all looks very good. The only things which struck me as suggestions are that the sections could be more distinct, and the commissioned work could be placed earlier.
