  • @William Webb Thank you so much for your suggestions, sincere professinal and very useful! It's true that I have so few works yet.
  • Hi YanJun,

Personally I would suggest the best way to get art directors to see your work is to look at companies you would like to work for, find out who their art director is and send them work samples - your very best work only, and the kind of work you would like to do. Gear each submission to the particular company you are aiming for. Whilst you can show your work on websites, social media etc., there is so much competition out there you may not get any attention. It's not always easy to get through to the right person, but persevere!

If you haven't already done this, there are lots of jobsites out there you can sign up with and tailor job requests.

You could also try illustration agencies but they are bombarded with requests and many limit their intake (to make sure the artists on their books have enough work, to not overlap too many of the same styles, to pick only the very top artists) so I wouldn't try agencies at first due to their exclusivity - maybe after you have got some good commissions under your belt.
    All the best!
