Hi guys, i discovered a while back that i am really passionate about spoken word. I’m not sure where to take it or show it. Any ideas?

- A great place to start would be making content for socials - specifically IGTV, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook
- Hey Carmella! That’s really cool, I love spoken word :) I go to regular Spoken Word/Poetry evenings in my city in Scotland. I made lots of like-minded friends there too! Is there anything like that near you? All the best with your work! X
- Hey Carmella,At the moment I think IG Posts and TikTok voiceovers would be a great start; You can also do live shows at many locations around the UK.Currently due to covid many places are closed but make sure you follow @simplesttalks on instagram and twitter, Her personal is @lifeofsimplyluciaShe’s an amazing person and always down to help you promote and showcase your work when she starts hosting events again

- I usually showcase my spoken word on IG, SoundCloud, or on my website!I know you are UK based, but right now a lot of spoken word venues are hosting their sessions online and have sign ups! One that I frequent is http://dapoetrylounge.com/ in LA. They're doing an online open mic in 2 days if you are interested! But I know a lot of poetry and spoken word based forums are taking to zoom and such to showcase so it could be great to research some poetry lounges in your area and see if they are doing that!Also a couple zines have been opening up here and there looking for work of any kind and they might accept spoken word submissions.
