Hi! I am an illustrator and comic artist who just revamped her website. I would be super grateful for some feedback! www.malaikasujeet.com

  • @Younes Annaki Thank you so much for your feedback! Yes, I agree that the rocking of the door is a bit distracting, will work on that and yes the scroll is definitely a great idea. :)
  • Such a lovely and creative website. I would suggest (after entering the door) showcasing personal work leading to client work and the other way around (people are used to scroll a lot nowadays so no need to go back to the top) in addition to that, it would be interesting to make the door animation (open and closed) the same height to avoid that little "rocking" so only the door is being animated. Besides that the arts are beautiful!
  • @Rebecca Duncan Hello! Those are honestly such great tips, I would never have thought about headings! Which now that you say it I feel like smacking myself in the head like 'DUH'! And yes, some mock-ups will definitely be incorporated soon. Thank you for taking the time to go through my website, I appreciate it a lot :)
  • @Edmund Pollington Hi there! Thanks for the feedback, yes I agree the icons do tend to get lost in there. Will try to make them a bit more prominent!

    Yes ofcourse, lets connect :)
  • Hi Mailaika

your website looks stunning, I love all the works included and the implicit touches of making the site feel like a gallery. Only nitpicks I have are the social media logo-links and the "back to the top" button on the pages seem to get lost within the background. Other than that it looks stunning.

I myself am trying to be a comicbook artist so I would be up for connecting and keeping in touch :)

nice to meet you, I hope this helps

    many thanks
    Edmund
  • Hey Malaika! Nice to meet you :-) I'm a graphic designer, not an illustrator so I'm looking at it through that lens. I really like the context that you bring to client projects. To go a step further, I'd maybe add headings (which will help out with SEO etc) like "The Brief" "The Client" "Challenges" that make the work easy to scan. Maybe also add some mock-ups of your work in situ, i.e. social posts in Instagram on a phone.

    Hope that helps!
