- @Sarah Finn don’t WIX I repeat don’t use WIX.When it comes to websites consider whats your budget you plan spend hosting and site builder ?Cargo is good there used to be 2 versions, one which was free or you paid to have a site domain (with 3rd party) their free version worked “cargocollective.com/yoursitename” have a feeling they may not work anymore.Research, you can also link your big cartel through the sitehttps://cargo.site/Squarespace is good, if you are planning to sell becareful of pricing that they charge you.I’d suggest you start small or low fee budget, once you feel the site making back what your spending to run it then invest.
- @Mike McCoole: Design thanks so much Mike! Super helpful advice!I’ll definitely move the ‘About’ out of image & into text. I definitely need to remember that this is being viewed on a smaller scale on the website & not in full screen via PDF like I normally send it away in. Will hop on those changes right away :)

Really appreciate your points & will take those on board right away.Currently I stuck my portfolio on my store just for ease of having things in one place for people to view, however I’m using big cartel to host my online store & I think I definitely need to switch to another host for a better & more streamlined look.Do you have any recommendations? I was thinking of using square space, but I know wix is popular too.Once again thank you so much for taking the time to look at my portfolio & give me feedback :)
- I see you more as an illustrator, the photogrpahy is a throw off. Focus more on illustration.The site portfolio however hinders the illustration to be viewed at scale, as I can tell their is detial in the illustration using techniques. But I can’t see it clearly. I’m not sure what platform your using to build your site, layout might be the cause.When it comes to presenting the illustration in the Portfolio section show the final, with crops in the final piece. Have another page that is for sketchbook.
- Lovely drawings Sarah; mandala is crazy good.Site nice and clean and nav functions well but I would definitely think about taking the "About Me" text out of the image form and adding that in as text so it's responsive/easier to read on desktop. Maybe the layout on this page could work harder so it concentrates on your illustrative/tattoo work and then have the secondary information avaible as a downloadable PDF or something like that?hope that helps
