  • Overall good. We're all in the midst of a social experiment in the radical digital transformation of people. It was always going to happen, I just don't anyone expected to happen so quickly and all at once. Stay focused on the person behind the tech I keep telling people.
  • Creating new stuff and working from isolation as much as i can.

Abscense of the real world (where at the moment all our events, shows and more - cancelled) affects a lot.
  • @Nadine A Dankwa I'm still working at the moment - I've been covering a lot of corona related content. I'm also trying to figure out how to navigate my startup... i launched a week before Covid-19 started to take a toll so can't market the way i planned to. Just been telling myself things will get better and sales will pick up.
  • Hey @Charlene Williams - I've looked at you IG and you look amazing!
I'm really happy to hear you've been inspired to try some new looks and get out of your usual routine. I have a startup makeup company and if you're interest, i could send you a palette ofr two to try out? Let me know and we can get to it! Best, J x

  • I’m getting up around 8/8.30 everyday, going for a walk or run (around 4K), doing a bit of exercise when I get back and then get myself stuck in to creating makeup content for Instagram.
I’ve generally hated taking pictures of myself for Instagram but this has really helped to give me some structure and to have something to do everyday.
I’m a makeup artist and got stuck in to a routine of wearing red lipstick everyday, doing my daily posts has gotten me out of my rut, I’m mixing colours and playing with colour on myself again.
  • Hi Joyce,

I'm trying to gather relevant information and support for self employed and businesses affected, The Africa Centre Newsletter provides some helpful information on funds and grants available within the creative industries - https://mailchi.mp/africacentre/newsletter-march-2020

In the meantime The Africa Centre is gathering content to provide to the community.

  • That's very kind of you for checking in! I'm trying to be productive and utilise my time to learn and read up on things as well as plan. How about yourself?
  • Trying to be productive in other ways, catching up on admin, firmingup concepts for shoots, brushing up on some skills, reading a whole lot more too. :)
