How to find clients as a Freelance Developer?

I have been getting some work so far but feel like I need to either be casting a wider net or refining my technique for finding work. It'd be great if I could get some tips on developing a really effective way of marketing myself and finding great people to work with.

  • Hi Jack, I would try to search all the possible sites where jobs are posted realted to your profession. You can apply for the jobs and offer yourself as a freelancer.
Or you can search for the given companies page and contact the recruiter/relevant department and offer yourself directly :)
  • Hey Jack, we're a London-based product studio always on the lookout for devs. We work with other agencies, brands, and startups. Let me know if you want to chat!
  • I wish there were a site that would let developers and employers communicate directly with one another - as LinkedIn originally claimed it was going to be. The standard job sites are all worth setting up searches for: Monster, LinkedIn, Gumtree, totaljobs, hackajob. It's even worth bookmarking searches on Twitter. Good luck!
