I'm collating a list of useful resources to help get your Creative Resume noticed! Post personal advice or a publication you feel may help!

We've all been there, you've updated your portfolio, your cover letter and then you hit a blank wall with the CV.

There's plenty of advice online, however it's dotted far and wide against a long list of articles which aren't always particularly helpful or to the point.

The idea is simple, post links to any articles which you feel are helpful, post any advice, tips, do's or don'ts that have helped you in the past as well as the things you feel should be avoided when crafting your CV!

Every CV is different, so what works for one person may not work for the other and there's no right or wrong. Let's just create a list that people can cherry pick from and throw out a helping hand to those that need it!

  • For a future career, seniority and experience are very important. But the resume also plays an important role. I was convinced of this when I turned to cv services https://uk.careersbooster.com/ to write my resume. At one moment, employers began to call me and I received a lot of offers.
  • @Aaron Collins That is a sweet blog post! I normally only write the verbiage for graphic designer resumes, and those were some impressive samples.

  • Best cover letter I ever read used icons as a base for the content, in the bottom right hand corner it said the average time it will take you to read this cover letter = 30 seconds. So I went back and devoured every word. Beautifully creative but also showed they understood how time poor everyone is these days ... loved it!
  • I've worked with many hiring managers and recruiters over my 20+ years in the creative industries. I've also hired plenty of people into my design and other teams in that time. Being at The Dots has also give my a lot of insights into how people get hired.
