I’m looking for a space in London to hold an exhibition of art - ‘picture book illustration’ . Cafe/bookshop/other location considered.

I can send examples of work

  • I'd say the Brixton Tate Library, which is next to the Picturehouse.
    My friend held a two week exhibition there.

    She got a lot of footfall in general, but also a lot of passing trade and interest. While she used both the walls and ground for display, she also had a mini shop for sales (happy to share pictures).

    The business end;
    For the use of the gallery to display art work for sale, a percentage of any sales is payable to the Brixton Library.

    There is no licensed bar, there are toilets including baby change facilities are located on the Ground floor.
