Improving your job applications with no feedback from other job applications
I am in the process of sort of pivoting careers at a bit of an older age. I have been a Freelance Graphic Designer for SMEs for nearly 8 years but want something more creative and less corporate. Before this I was a music producer for another 8 years or so.
I finished a masters in Design for Art Direction in late 2021 and im having problems with finding a creative job, maybe my portfolio needs work, maybe im applying for the wrong level of role, maybe I dont have enough experience in the areas I want to go into etc, but i get 0 feedback from my applications.
I've done a lot of portfolio reviews, gone through job applications with people and worked through trying to make it as good as possible etc
Anyone else find this or know of anything that can be done?

- Sorry to hear your frustration, James.I believe the best way to land your dream job (and let your creative steam out at the same time) is to do self-initiated projects. Create fantasy projects, visualise what you want to do, and attract your ideal client.Don’t wait for the opportunity to come to you but rather show them what you want to do and what you are capable of.Good luck!
- @James Wilson I know! As Oscar mentioned, it's standard practice unfortunately
- @Anna Negrini No I haven't but will try. Never usually hear anything from them, even to confirm they've received it or that you're out of contention for the role.
- Hi James, have you tried to ask them for feedbacks? I did a couple of times after have been ghosted and surprisingly they answered me!
- its standard practice in this industry im afriad...
