Just looking for constructive feedback on a recent painting commission I did.
It is under my projects titled “Pink Lilies” - any feedback is most appreciated and welcome ☺️

- @Andy Reeve ✌️ - noted, thank you for the advice 🙏
- @Miriam Amankwa Hi Miriam, when using water-mixable oils: make sure the brush hairs are synthetic - natural bristles get clogged up with water and paint goo. X
- @Francisco Mateus - Hi.
- @Andy Reeve ✌️ - Hi Andy, many thanks for your response and critique - I’ll definitely take that into consideration when I paint next time. I actually used oil paints for this commission but I have looked at using water soluble oil paints after using up all my oil paints to cease the headache you just mentioned with oil paints 😂 Thank you very much.
- Hello Miriam, that's a good painting. It does appear quite "busy" - it would be worth considering a more neutral and/or contrasting background colour (e.g. blues/greens) that brings focus onto the subject(s).It seems like you've used acrylics? Have you tried oils? You can get water-mixable oil paints (which means no headcahe-inducing turps!) that, just like regular oil paint, is easy to blend and helps soften lines.Keep going!Best,Andy
