About me
Initially, I was stuck with what to pursue in life so I thought on feedback that I received from my classmates whilst undertaking my foundation diploma and took a chance... From taking the risk to switch courses from Fashion Graphics to Illustration, I had found a course that brought out the best of the skills I already had and built my propensity as a practising illustrator. Upon completing my degree at Solent University, I built professional printing techniques that I could take forward into my professional artist practice such as screen printing and bookbinding. Also, being selected for an artist in Residency outside of Europe gave me the opportunity and confidence to not only communicate with other fellow creatives from different nations but to also immerse myself in the culture and the lifestyle of Shanghai, China. This international opportunity provided me with the chance to grow within myself - both as a young woman and as a creative professional and I would be open to partaking in more artist residences to enable me to grow as a professional illustrator and artist. Since then, I secured a Graduate internship as a designer which gave me the opportunity to create outcomes to real-life briefs such as creating a poster for Cycle September and creating a brochure cover for the prospectus for the School of Art, Design and Fashion. Currently, I am looking for freelance illustration and photography opportunities as well. Thank you for taking the time to view my work. If you would like to contact me for art/illustration or photography related enquiries, information, charges and availability - please feel free to contact me via the following emails: drawescapism@gmail.com, missvisualsphotography@gmail.com. Have an awesome day and God bless

'Lost In Translation' - China Academy of Arts Summer School 2017In 2017, I was selected to partake in an international summer school in China. After doing various workshops including learning how to tie-dye, we summarized the end of our summer school by creating our own final outcome in response to a brief set. Mine was based on the misunderstanding between my new friend and I - based on whenever we converse, one person tries to understand what the other is saying. Before completing the final painting, I did a practise portrait painting first.

Graduate Design - Intern (Final Outcomes - 2019)Over the period of my internship, I was given the opportunity to create final outcomes for two faculties that I was supporting. Initially, I was nervous but began brainstorming plenty of ideas to work with and heightened my confidence and understanding in working with real-life briefs. Adhering to the university's brand guidelines whilst creating the final outcomes helped me to understand the importance of communicating with clients for future reference and coming to a mutual decision regarding
