  • Hi Jasmine,
We are defintely not represented in a correct way, I would say.
Usually the Eastern Europeans are marginalised and seen as a negative character. (prostitutes, hackers, thieves, etc)

  • Hi Jasmine,

I'm from Hungary and live in the UK for 12 years with no intention to go back. Honestly I don't feel represented on any level, had funny situations when I had to realise the average British people has zero understanding about the countries or culture of Eastern Europe.
  • It is a rare situation. This is why some of my events are focusing on the representation of "underground" writers, ideas and startups. The issue is that 90% of these groups are considered as not-mainstream. 5% are lucky and the other 5% can actually pay for their promotion.
  • Hi Jasmine,

I actually never gave this any thought but now that you have opened this discussion I can say simply no. I do not feel represented on the mainstream British media or creative industry for that instance.
