  • Hi Simon, I’m thinking about a short story about the birth of Jesus Christ. Another remake of the Passion of Christ.

  • Hi Simon, I have a strong story that was put forward as a feature by Blue Cat for 2021, but I firmly believe that Resigned stands very well as a short. If You'd like to look at the script, please email me to soulcreations12@gmail.com

    Carmen has kept a low profile for years so that, at the right time, she could challenge the man who claimed power from her father’s company.

    Rough concept summary;
    Title: The Surprise

    A couple comes home after a late night house party and find their dog is acting weird. The dog just doesn't behave normally and makes it clear that something is wrong. The couple dismisses the dog's behaviour as a simple cry for attention after being left alone.

    The next morning brings immense joy as the wife surprises the husband with a new car. She takes him down the road from their semi-detached home and shows him the car that is parked on the street. Meanwhile, the dog is alone and is crying and running irratically around the house. The couple ignores the dog again and decide to take the car for a short spin around the block.

    As they pull back onto their own driveway, they see the dog is crying and barking from their living room area. They briefly discuss about taking the dog to the vet and slowly pull into their garage. They don't shut the garage door behind them and get out of the car and have a sincere romantic moment. They hug and let each other know how much they love each other.

    This moment is abruptly interrupted by thief that was hiding (eversince the couple came after the party, hence the crying dog) in the garage. The thief comes out of his hiding with a large kitchen knife in his hand. He violently asks for the car key while threatening their lives. The couple makes a unanimous decision by hardly speaking a word to each other. The boyfriend throws the key to the thief and hopes he will spair them from any injury. Luckily, the thief rapidly takes the key and gets going with the car. All of this was happening while the dog was continuously barking from within the house. The thief realised it was safer for him to steal the car and not escalate things.

    In the now empty garage, the couple breaksdown in tears. They then hastily sprint to check on the dog. The dog greets them with gentle cries and lots of doggy joy. The couple feels a sudden true affection towards the dog they often just ignored. The three of them embrace and take the moment to acknowledge they're ok and that's all that matters.

  • Think Stand By Me and the Goonies but a comedy drama about kids living in estates and all the trouble they get up to. Until, their area is to be gentrified and their estate knocked down to make room for luxury flats.
  • @Ashen Munaweera Thriller, Dark Comedy, Drama, those are the main areas of interest. Not horror. Thanks Ashen
  • Hi, I have a first draft script of the idea below. Drop me a line and we'll discuss it if you like.
