Looking for networking events for women business owners

hello there :)

I have launched my own brand back in October and I'm singlehandedly managing every aspect of it, from the brand identity the social media managing, product creation and project management, influencers marketing and so on.

I'm looking for more women who are currently running their own business to share tips and advice, it can get a bit lobely in here, mostly in the current situation.

Can anyone send me links to Zoom events like the above?

Thanks :)

  • Hi Frederica! I totally hear you and am in a similar position myself (It can be overwhelming doing it all alone without a sounding board) I really like attending the Ladies Wine & Design events which are now virtual, I attend the London chapter but there are groups in almost every city: https://ladieswinedesign.com I've also been to a couple of This way up zoom events since the pandemic: https://the-dots.com/pages/this-way-up-podcast-196359 I found these throught the Dots and they were really good, full of sound advice from women, a lot of whom are running their own businesses. It might be worth doing a search of facebook groups as there are a few out there dedicated to this. I've previously been a member of the Indie roller group https://indieroller.com led by Leona it's a supportive friendly community that is all about navigating the ups and downs of running your own business solo! I hope that is helpful! :D
  • Hi Federica, there are a couple of different events aimed at women in business both on start up level and on managerial level. You could look into WACL and She Says. If you want more practical tips, you'll have to dig deeper and apprach each event with a specific query in mind. WebSummit (event that takes place yearly in Lisbon) has a range of practical seminars on various topics, they also do huge discounts for women in business and have an area for women to network with other women during their events. Judging from the emails I've been receiving from them lately it's now an online gathering. For a less personal but entertaining approach, you could check out small business profiles on TikTok, there's a whole lot of talented and wonderful people who started doing something new during the pandemic, and are sharing their day to day learnings as they go. This might help you feel less lonely and, who knows, maybe even inspire you to start shairng your own experiences. Best of luck!
