Portfolio website recommendations?
Currently got my portfolio on cargo.site, but my subscription just expired and I’m looking into alternatives.
Preferably highly customizable and not too expensive!
What do you use for portfolio websites? Wix, squarespace? Let me know, please!

- Alternatively, if you're looking for a lot more flexibility and want to add to your skillset consider webflow (https://webflow.com)
- I personally prefer Wix over Squarespace. Wix (beginner-friendly )is intuitive to use and for non technical users, it’s a good choice. (I have to say that squarespace has a cheaper plan)
- Hey Olga, I've heard people say good things about Squarespace although I've never used it. I also understand that Adobe Portfolio is 'free' if you have a Creative Cloud subscription. I've seen some good portfolios created with that. I coded my current portfolio, but I've used self-hosted WordPress in the past which can be a good, flexible option if you have a bit of tech knowledge. There are many templates available for this. One of the things I felt important was the facility to link my own domain name, so this stays constant even if the hosting platform changes. As far as I am aware that would be possible with all the above, either when you set it up or later on if you wanted. Hope helpful for some ideas.
- @Liam Dutton thanks for the advice, but this wasn’t the topic of my question 😊
- I would hire a professional to put your portfolio together to get the competitive edge, some of the best portfolios I’ve seen have taken a huge amount of effort to put together.
- @Elisa Mazzuca oh, haven’t heard of this one 👀❤️ thank you, will give it a look!
- Hi Olga!I suggest you give a look to readymag, it’s a platform that provides web/digital publishing services and templates. I haven’t used it but I saw some portfolios built with readymag and they looked very elegant!Hope this was helpful :)
