Should I keep my concept art work and illustration/graphic design work separate on social media accounts?
Hello!
I'm an illustrator and aspiring concept artist from the UK. I've worked as an in-house illustrator at an educational resource company for a year. The illustrations for the company have been quite different from my concept art work... So I'm wondering if it's worth creating two separate accounts on social media sites - one for concept art and the other for illustration/graphic design?
What are your thoughts?

- Hi there! I think is better if you keep them together and organise your feed to have a balance and consistency on your work.
- Hey Lily, there are clients who lack of imagination, so they need clean finalised works. Other clients want to see your aestethics, they can see if you can be a match with their needs. In this second case, quantity over quality is better, because you can show how multifaces you can be. Bring it on with those concept art works! :)Jacopo
- @Alan Whitlock Thank you for your input Alan!
- No don't clients and employers like to see creative work keep them together.
- @Opal Turner so right well said.
- @Lily Beer-Doblon My pleasure, always happy to lend a POV!
- @Opal Turner Hey Opal, thank you so much for your advice. I'm pretty new to serious social media scheduling and I'm struggling to gain any sort of social media presence - it helps knowing that I can keep all of my work in one place! Thank you again. :)
- Hey Lily, In my opinion absolutely not! You as a creative are made up of the skills, experience and work you've made. There will always be different mediums or industries for you work but they're made up of the same skills. And each will influence each other, I think seperating them along contextual lines or industry lines is somewhat arbitary, maybe just group them in sections across your feed. OTx
