So, I quite like the new Dots layout, but...am I missing something? I can't seem to see any way to add projects, now.

  • @Bronwen Hyde Seconded. I sent exactly the same request on one of the help forms. We really need to able to organze what people see at the top of our projects.
  • @Cathy Wang This looks like it's been fixed today :)

The new layout looks good but I wondered if there will be an update to allow us to reorder our projects manually?

In the past, it seemed to be randomised or by newest added or a mix of both, but with only three projects now appearing at first glance and only three more at a time appearing when you click 'Show more', it would be good for us to be able to manually order projects to highlight particular ones.

This was something I would have liked also with the old layout, even when you could see them all at first glance, especially as I've got older projects I'm adding after more recent or ongoing ones.

Also, I noticed with the old layout that some users (I'm guessing Beta Club members) had additional sections like Side Hustles. Is there the possibility of having multiple project sections or subsections with a selection of naming options in future for those of us who may have work across various areas, e.g. I have photography, design, writing and exhibitions, and may have web and social media campaigns to add in future?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask! :)
  • Thanks for that @Cathy Wang. And I was just about to post that I DID find a way there . . . by going through the "Find projects" link (for projects that are already up that you may have worked on), which now leads to a new page that also has a "create project" link.

Anyway, thanks for the speedy reply.
  • In the meantime, you can use this link here to create a project:
    https://the-dots.com/projects/create

    Hope this helps!

  • Hi @Owen Schaefer & @Gabriella Nkom!

We are working on getting this fixed right now - so sorry for any inconveniences caused!

    Cathy x
  • @Gabriella Nkom I don't even see a place to add them anymore. I can add new workplaces, edit my profile, add team-members, but no button or field to add projects.
  • I am having the exact same issue. I have tried to add a project, but it keeps on coming up with an error message that says "make sure all fields are filled in". Didn't have this issue before, so I have no idea why it's happening now
