Would anyone be willing to take a look at my portfolio and offer some feedback? Still looking for my first job post graduation with no luck.

Thank you kindly to whom looks at my work. UX/Digital Design are the areas I wish to focus on but with the frequent “unfortunately’s” with no feedback on applications it’s hard to determine where I’m going wrong with my work. Hopefully someone can help me here :)

  • Hey Loretta

Great job on putting your work out there - I never find it an easy thing to do!

I'm not in this sector, but I do know @Annabel Deacon is one of the lovliest (if not THE lovliest) person in UX/UI/Digital Design recruitment.

If she's got a minute, I'm sure she'd be happy to point you in the right direction.

    Best of luck!
  • Hi Loretta,

I've attached this great video from 'the futur' which is a youtube channel who give great design tips and business advice to designers both pros and students, I think it can really help you out.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iXUJv_rKW0

It's aimed for freelancers but the advice can be applied to all.

If you find that this video does/doesn't help then they have so many other great videos which is full of so much great invaluable advice, you'll feel like you're stealing from them :-)

    Hope you find your answers.

  • Heya,

    1) Remove the Power Point twist movement on load :)
    2) All the text blocks look too close in terms of size, I think you can improve the hierarchy.

    Good luck!

  • I think content wise it’s great. Perhaps simplify the longer paragraphs as employers often want to read quickly.

Without trying to be rude I think that the website design itself might not be in your favour.

I would change the font and work on the margins and spacing, particularly on the mobile side.

Images and text can be grouped as a single link to the relevant page, that will increase the clickable area and is common on many webistes
  • Hey,

Thanks for sharing. I think what you have produced is brilliant. You have some great projects behind you and you explain each project very well, giving us great insight in to your vision and ideas.

The only thing I would say is change the font of your content on your website I mean. Perhaps something more clean-cut like ‘Helvetica’. I like your Infographic works. Well done you!
