What does it take to be a black, female CEO working in the North of England?

What skills do you need to build a community organisation, and how do you take those first steps?

Find out this Wednesday at 6pm on IG Live for our fourth Creative Portfolios session. Rapper and community organiser Eerf Evil will be talking to the CEOs of Conscious Youth UK.

Conscious Youth CIC is an award-winning youth-led organisation set up in 2016 by Sophie Simpson & Serena Johnson, challenging inequalities by empowering young people with the skills, knowledge and resources they need to lead.

They’ve inspired over 900 young people across Kirklees to influence change and make a positive difference in their communities, developing a track record in the engagement of black and minority young people and communities in the area.

Sophie and Serena frequently provide consultancy for local and national organisations and bodies, helping to inform the shaping of programmes and pathways for young people.

Join us next Wednesday to learn what it means to build a community organisation, how to campaign to create change for what you are passionate about & how to influence others to buy into your vision.
