For the fourth event in the series, Studios resident Sonya Dyer responds to the provocation, I Should Be Doing Something Else Right Now with a broadcast.

Experimenting with the production and editing tools to hand, six artists live stream a performance from home, responding to the provocation I Should Be Doing Something Else Right Now. A series of quick-fire commissions from Studios artists exploring work, play and process.

In the latest iteration of her Hailing Frequencies Open project, Dyer's live stream event will reflect possibilities of Black futurity in the form of a broadcast from the future, transmitted via the Andromeda Galaxy.

Sonya Dyer is an artist and writer from London. Her work explores the creation of possible futures. Recent projects include Rewriting The Future, Site Gallery (2019), Another World is Possible, CAMP, Copenhagen (2018), Familiar Strangers, The Luminary, St Louis, (2018), Or, Dark Fecundity, The Centre for Afrofuturist Studies, USA (2018), The Claudia Jones Space Station (BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and The NewBridge Project, Newcastle, 2017) and Into the Future (Primary, Nottingham, 2015).
