ABOUT THE AD TECHNOLOGY TEAM
The Ad Technology team oversees the design, implementation, and management of the commercial systems that enable BBC Studios to sell digital advertising. Part of the broader Ad Product, Technology, and Operations group, the team focuses on launching new products that enhance user and customer experiences while driving commercial growth.
BBC Studios’ Global News & Streaming is seeking an Ad Production Designer to join the Ad Product team, reporting to the Director of Ad Technology.
Develop engaging ad formats from concept to completion, leveraging existing assets and templates when necessary
Own and maintain a rich portfolio of ad templates that cater to differing brand KPIs
Collaborate with the Product Strategy and Design group to conceptualise ad experiences and interpret brand guidelines to enhance visual impact
Work with the Ad Technology and Product team to successfully launch new formats into the business
Collaborate with the Senior Tester to apply quality assurance tactics to test ad formats for functionality and performance before delivery
Manage the technical ownership of Creative Templates
Document the creative specifications and capabilities of the ad portfolio
Advise Ad Operations and Planning teams on best practices and asset specifications
Keep the Ad Product group informed of new and emerging innovations in ad formats within the media and ad tech ecosystem
Design experience / experience in designing banners
Experience in creating ad campaigns or promotional content for websites and apps
Advanced proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
Hands-on experience with HTML5 and CSS, including the ability to design, create, and troubleshoot interactive display ads
Building innovative and impactful ad formats, as well as managing a portfolio of custom ad templates to provide a premium ad experience for our customers.
Experience with ad builder tools such as Celtra, Teads, ClipCentric, and FlashTalking
Experience with asset optimization for digital, app, and/or video
Knowledge of Ad Servers, particularly Google Ad Manager and Creative Templates, is desirable
Understanding of industry container standards such as SafeFrame and MRAID and Advertising KPIs such as viewability and attention is desirable

Band: D
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. London Weighting Allowance also included alongside base pay. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working
