The A Side: A Day in The Life
We are seeking an Archive Video Coordinator to support the work of our Archive Audio Visual (AV) team. This role will require someone who is highly organised with a passion for catalogue music, particularly from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s, and its cultural legacy.
You will need to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, while executing and developing archive processes around AV content.
This role is a full-time position which will require 4 days a week in our office in Kings Cross, with the other day at home.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Organised
  • Execute and develop archive processes around AV content.
  • Manage the movement of video tapes to/from the vault.
Be Technical
  • Undertake archival transfers of video formats to UMG spec, with supervision. (Working knowledge of video equipment, workstations and capture software an advantage.)
  • Self-support on Mac and PC (most work is carried out on Mac). Fault finding and problems solving skills.
Be Knowledgeable
  • Review of archive AV to capture metadata based on the repertoire, content, cultural/historical context and production stage.
Be Collaborative
  • Work with UMG’s labels to prepare video packages based on campaign requirements
Be Innovative
  • Willing to learn relevant technologies where necessary and develop in the role.
Person Specification
  • A can-do, enthusiastic attitude combined with good interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Process-based approach; the ability contribute to process improvement.
  • Passion and interest in catalogue music, especially around AV content.
  • Work calmly under pressure, anticipating changing requirements.
  • Good attention to detail for accurate metadata capture.
  • Working knowledge of databases and manipulating data in Excel.
  • Knowledge of file delivery/transfer services and an awareness of data security.
  • Operational experience in professional video/film services or AV content creation an advantage.
