The A Side: A Day in The Life
The European Supply Chain fulfils physical product requirements for all UMG European countries. The business operates with customers and suppliers located in multiple territories.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to support the Supply Chain Finance team. They will need to be able to take ownership for and manage multiple tasks on a day-to-day basis, help the team meet the month end close deadlines, and assist for planning and forecasting and other financial reporting, including supporting the preparation of statutory accounts.
They will need to be able to work autonomously and should be able to resolve issues with the Supply Chain operations team, suppliers, and other areas in the business. They will also need to work closely with the offshore finance team and collaborate with the supply chain team in the U.S. to get tasks completed.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
  • Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations, including the review and the coordination of any follow-up actions required.
  • Performing the required freight, distribution and sundry recharges for physical and digital supply chain and liaising with and resolving queries from colleagues across the globe.
  • Assisting with monthly analysis of overheads, carefully considering the requirement and treatment of accruals to ensure the general ledger is well-maintained.
  • Supporting with the reporting of obsolescence and participating in inventory reconciliations and communicating results to multiple stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of the maintenance of user access and workflows across multiple internal systems.
  • Coordinate the submission process to the corporate reporting team for month end, Plan and Forecast. Resolving HFM validation issues, working closely with Corporate Finance team.
  • Forge a strong connection with other finance areas to ensure efficient and seamless reporting across the whole department.
  • Ad hoc analyses and reports as directed by the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Director.
  • Assist with Audit fieldwork and preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Take ownership of internal transfer pricing requests and approvals, perform reconciliations, and participate in reporting improvements as required by business teams.
  • Review of  monthly Intrastat submission, including investigation and resolution of queries
Person Specification
  • Technically & financially minded and analytical.
  • Strong people person, able to deal with multiple stakeholders.
  • Team player, good at building professional relationships and adapting a personal approach to deal with different personalities and varying levels of knowledge and skills across the organisation.
  • Able to manage and prioritise for the teams in an often pressurised environment
  • Ability to think creatively and practically to develop and implement new processes in fast paced, unique industry.
  • Positive attitude towards day to day responsibilities, adaptive and resilient
  • Experience in Microsoft Office systems with good Microsoft Excel skills
  • SAP and Hyperion experience advantageous
