As the Brand Planning Manager at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in managing in-store brand planning across all of our brands, ensuring a more enjoyable and distinctive experience for our customers. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, including commercial, customer experience, proposition, brand comms, and creative teams, you will translate our brand propositions into compelling in-store media plans and communications. Utilising leading-edge thinking in behavioural economics and heuristics, you will revolutionise how we connect with our customers, driving creative excellence and increasing sales. With a focus on holistic in-store planning and design decisions, you will contribute to the creation of clear and compelling in-store design principles, driving consistency and cohesiveness across the total store design. Your role will involve ongoing management of the in-store plan, governing the number and type of messages customers see, and collaborating with store display colleagues on visual merchandising and display elements.
As an expert in in-store marketing, you will spend time in our stores and competitors' stores, influencing stakeholders and ensuring operational excellence. Additionally, you will work on test and learn initiatives, exploring new formats and approaches, and manage external agencies on design and customer experience.  Who you are
As a Brand Planning Manager at Sainsbury's, you are a strategic and forward-thinking professional with a strong understanding of retail store operations and an expertise in planning and executing marketing communications within the in-store environment. Your ability to think holistically and make well-informed decisions contributes to delivering a more enjoyable and distinctive customer experience across multiple brands. With your deep knowledge of behavioural economics and heuristics, you bring leading-edge thinking to connect with customers in a meaningful way, driving sales and creative excellence.
Your strong stakeholder management skills allow you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external agencies, ensuring coherence and alignment in messaging. With a passion for execution and attention to detail, you ensure that our brands are represented in a clear and compelling manner, while managing budgets and adhering to operational excellence.
