About the role
CMC is seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Subscriptions Marketing Manager to deliver a progressive marketing strategy, with a focus on achieving revenue targets by growing subscriber acquisitions and improving retention. Preferred candidates will have hands-on experience across the whole subscriptions marketing mix including both print and digital channels.
You will be part of a marketing team, responsible for all aspects of the subscriber acquisitions and retention journeys across print and digital channels.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a growing business and play an important role in driving forward a portfolio of successful brands entering a period of growth.
Key responsibilities will include
  • Deliver a subscriptions acquisition strategy in line with monthly and annual targets.
  • Improve loyalty and retention by engaging with subscribers from sign up.
  • Coordinate and execute consumer marketing campaigns on budget, ensuring they are targeted and integrated across all channels.
  • Ensure all marketing campaigns are implemented to optimum efficiency with demonstrable metrics. Measure and evaluate campaigns, share learnings, and optimise for future activities.
  • Work closely with the digital team to maximise conversion on the website, creating landing pages, optimising checkout, initiating tests and championing best practices.
  • Write clear and inspiring campaign briefs for our in-house designers to bring to life.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels.
  • Provide regular reporting (including attribution metrics) and analysis on all campaigns. Use this data to help shape future marketing strategy.
  • Support a culture of collaboration and integration, working closely with editorial, advertising and publishing stakeholders to ensure the business objectives are met.
  • Line-manage a Marketing Executive and support them to meet their KPIs.
  • Contribute to keeping CMC at the forefront of subscriptions marketing with innovative best-practice marketing.
Knowledge and Experience
Prior experience of subscriptions acquisition marketing across print and digital channels.
Knowledge of Google Analytics with the ability to present information to key stakeholders.
Campaign planning and budget management experience - with a good knowledge of forecasting and LTV models.
Ability to create, interpret and react to subscriptions reports.
