The Focus of the Role:
We are looking for a Commercial Content Writer to join our content commerce team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and curating ideas and content, focusing on reaching targets for reach and commerce content for our lifestyle portfolio including Grazia, Closer and Heat. You will be continually optimising existing content designed to deliver direct revenue, ensuring it is seen by the largest possible audience that leads to conversion.
Reporting to the Deputy Content Commerce Editor, you will deliver daily web content, as well as working with the Audience Development Team to help grow the content commerce business across lifestyle, fashion, home and beauty. You will stay updated on the latest trends, know how to spot a trending product story and find new angles to generate affiliate revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Using your journalistic and industry experience, you will generate ideas across Grazia, Heat and Closer
  • Research, source and writing comprehensive product tests and buying guides according to editorial guidelines and in line with current SEO standards
  • Continually optimise existing content to maximise traffic and affiliate click-through
  • Ability to generate accompanying photographic material during product testing
  • Work to agreed key performance targets
  • Develop high-quality working relationships with relevant editorial contacts and external partners, plus attending relevant press events/product launches.
  • Key focus on targets during peak trading events like Prime Day and Black Friday
What You’ll Bring:

  • Market Insight: Knowledge of current fashion, beauty and home trends, as well as consumer interests.
  • Content Expertise: Ability to craft engaging, accessible content on complex topics.
  • Communication: Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • SEO Proficiency: Some understanding of SEO to ensure content ranks well.
  • Writing Experience: Background in writing news articles, features, product tests, and reviews.
  • Data Fluency: Some analytical skills to drive and improve content performance.
  • Photography Skills: Some ability to create clear and well-presented photography to support articles and appear in content if needed.
  • Self-Motivation: Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills with a hands-on approach.
