We are currently looking for a Commercial Events Sales Operations Manager to join our Commercial Events Team on a full time, permanent basis.
The Commercial Events team manages all aspects of commercial venue hires across Southbank Centre ranging from small meetings to 2,500 seater events, filming hires, brand activations and full building closures. We're best known to be the home of the BAFTAs, BFI Film Festival, film premieres and hold as well as hosting graduations for most of London’s top Universities.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Events & Retail, the successful applicant will be joining Commercial Events to lead the Sales team of four.
The successful candidate will work across a variety of responsibilities with a prime focus on:
Overseeing the management of the Sales team to maximise commercial events income from Southbank Centre Site and deliver budgeted business targets.
Enhancing the reputation of Southbank Centre as an events venue by delivering a wide range of events which reflect its core values.
Developing sales strategies which grow and expand the range of Commercial Events business activities, looking for new markets and opportunities as they evolve
Maximising entrepreneurial activity to the benefit of Southbank Centre by working with other departments to identify and develop opportunities through a shared understanding of roles, connections and related activity.
Working with the Commercial Marketing Manager to deliver a marketing strategy for commercial hire which supports the sales, growth plans and objectives for Commercial Events.
Being an active member of the Commercial Events management team, contributing to the delivery of strategy and management of the department
Providing effective and inclusive leadership and line management of the Sales team and team administrator to create a positive culture of high performance in which the team is inspired and empowered to deliver.
