Role
An essential position within the press and communications team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Head of press and brand communications to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the press and communications team, working with the press assistant to manage its administrative needs and strengthen the delivery of the internal and external communication strategies and campaigns for Academy Music Group.

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a busy communications team or press office is essential, preferably in music, media, culture, or entertainment

What you’ll be doing
  • Work directly with Head of PR and brand communications in all day-to-day activity to develop and execute internal and external communications plans
  • Ensure consistent alignment of messaging, branding and planned activities across Academy Music Group’s business operation
  • Create and deliver key messages and engaging social content as directed by the Head of PR and brand communications across multiple, and simultaneous projects with strong, measurable results
  • Maintain high-quality press materials
  • Update distribution lists and media databases
  • Monitor and log daily coverage across all media platforms and media evaluation work
  • Support briefings to the wider business
  • Compile and distribute listings
  • Actively contribute to the internal communications strategy
  • Co-ordinate daily press coverage and media reports
  • Monitor and prioritise day-to-day enquiries
  • Write, maintain, and distribute media assets and press materials as required
  • Assist the Head of press and brand communications and PR manager with organisation of press and communications activities
  • Maintain press kits for internal and external use as directed
  • Attend and organise meetings and media events when necessary
  • Additional administrative duties as required to contribute to the smooth running of the press and communications department
