As a strategist, you will be tasked with driving content and social strategy both for our clients’ content needs in collaboration with the wider agency team. Reporting into our Business Director and dotted line to General Manger social + content, this position sees you play an integral part in building, managing and maintaining strong relationships with our direct client contacts on a daily basis as we bring the brands they represent to life in content through, but not exclusively to social. You will also have an interest and acumen for content and social planning to formulate solutions that set our content up for success.
In this role you will work as part of a dynamic, forward thinking team as you take a strategic approach to all work we create – from a small content project to a larger scale communications or content strategy.
You will be a go-to content and social strategy specialist in the agency and stay on top of this exciting, ever changing space in which you will learn, and impart, something new everyday. Working hand in hand with creative and editorial is imperative to ensure effective and streamlined strategic and creative work and to ensure strategy is effectively executed and optimised according to results.
Your role will also see you lend your expertise, insights and advice to the wider Red Havas network, working with the social team across other markets to ensure quality and consistency as relevant. You’ll also be measurement and data focused to review performance against strategic goals, and work to optimise strategies accordingly.
You will be well versed in best practice social content creation and have the ability to ideate, and craft your own ideas with minimal direction.
You’ll work closely with our Business Director as a key leader in pitch work, driving research and strategic insight. You’ll work closely with our creative team to ensure effective and compelling creative strategy as required.

Roles and Responsibilities
Be the go-to content strategist / planner in the team to develop content ideas and plans that spans turning insights (company, competition, culture. consumer) into content engagement plans and concepts that attracts and retains audiences, and ultimately, drives success for our clients
Distil data and research into insights and translate into clear, concise and actionable strategic documents – and optimisation of strategies according to results
Work closely with creative team to ensure streamlined collaboration and effective strategy through creative work
Take a pro-active partnership approach to working with clients, also taking responsibility for client liaison and working with the account teams to deliver and optimise strategy
Foster a strategic thinking mindset throughout the agency
Devise strategies for our clients – thinking strategically about content programs and measures of success, or leading larger scale brand content strategies
Take the lead on social expertise and social strategy for the agency – ensuring all our clients who work in the social space have a strong social strategy
Keeping abreast of data and research to devise insights for all strategic frameworks
Lead pitches alongside Business Director, from a strategy perspective
Management of content strategy liaison & approval process both internally and with client
Strong collaboration and constant communication/integration with account teams and external stakeholders
Liaison with internal teams surrounding delivery on client deadlines and expectations
Working closely with creative team to ensure seamless integration between strategy and creative
Oversee execution of strategy – take responsibility for working with the account team on measures of success and optimising strategy according to results
Strong upward, downward and sideways communication with seniors, peers and juniors across internal and client teams
Ability to effectively manage internal team and client/stakeholder expectations through timely and clear communication via phone, email and in person on daily basis
Sharing of relevant information relating to social media landscape, client work in progress or upcoming projects with social media and wider agency teams as relevant to each account
Pro-active approach to professional up-skilling of both yourself and those around you through proposed training and development both internally and externally
Positive and solutions-oriented attitude - ability to spot potential issues ahead of time and pro-actively form appropriate solutions in collaboration with relevant team members
