We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Activation Analyst in our London office.
Department Overview:
Established in 2016 the Digital department has undergone rapid expansion as it strives to deliver an aggressive roadmap alongside an equally aggressive revenue aspiration.
The Analytics team is a part of the wider Digital department, and we support the Digital Commerce, Digital Marketing, Email, CRM and store teams with reporting, customer insights and website performance analysis. The team also provides customer lists for Digital Marketing, Email and Stores teams which are used for online campaigns and in stores’ clientelling activities.
We recently implemented new CDP software (Amperity), and this new role will be crucial in imbedding it within the Digital department and utilising it to its full potential.
What You’ll Do:
You will be responsible for leveraging customer data to design, build and execute personalized, targeted campaigns. You’ll work closely with Marketing partners to develop campaign strategies, working with other analysts on the team to align on testing methodology.
  • Become a super user of the new CDP.
  • Transition existing customer marketing lists to the new CDP platform
  • Manage the execution of campaign strategies within the Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  • Create and maintain naming convention and taxonomy for segments
  • Prepare customer data used in marketing (email, Facebook, Google, clientelling etc) ensuring accuracy and compliance, with all customer preferences and opt-outs applied correctly
  • Become a subject matter expert on leveraging customer data for activations and maintain a strong understanding of data capabilities and infrastructure
  • Suggest improvements to the data included in the CDP
  • Analyse data to help to identify and define audiences for marketing campaigns
  • Work with the rest of the data team to help define propensity modelling needs to support relevant customer selections
  • Have regular conversations with Marketing teams, understanding their objectives and helping to solutionise into data-action plans.
  • Support stakeholders on A/B testing by defining those and reporting on results
  • Support the rest of the analytics team in reporting and analysis, with a focus on producing actionable insights
  • On occasion utilise SQL and R in the customer activation
You’ll Need to Have:
  • Hands on experience of working with customer data in a CDP, including the creation of data selections for marketing purposes
  • Very good numerical and data analysis skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Some knowledge of SQL and/or R is welcomed but training can be provided
  • Strong planning and governance skills.
  • Understanding of GDPR compliance
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of report building and maintenance, knowledge of Tableau and advantage.
  • Ability to translate data concepts across and between business-focused and technology-based colleagues
  • Strong project execution capabilities: Strong attention to detail, able to define timelines and ensure projects stay on-track
  • Understanding of relational databases, experience of Snowflake an advantage.
  • Understanding of marketing automation and customer journey orchestration
  • Understanding of campaign test design and experimentation, with the ability to implement test strategies in customer activations
