Description

Key purpose of the role:
The purpose of this role is to support the Digital Group Editor and Hub Editor in managing the workflow for content creation for MotherandBaby.co.uk, and to ensure all content needs are met.
Key responsibilities:
  • Assist with content planning and content creation: This includes looking for new opportunities for both brands, that are of high quality, in collaboration with audience development, affiliate content and SEO teams.
  • Diversity: Manage content for each brand to ensure diverse and inclusive voices are represented. Ensure these topics are brought to life through content and social media on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Influencers and celebrities: Help create a portfolio of on-brand interviews for both brands and expand on franchises. These franchises are also to be explored for Twitter campaign and commercial gains.
  • Social media: Help expand our social media engagement on both brands and bring weekly innovative ideas and franchises to life.
  • Act as a second guardian of the brands budget, assisting with commissioning freelancers, experts and influencers to expand on content and opportunities.
  • Assist with managing and overseeing commercial content: Commissioning, writing and communicating with commercial teams to ensure the commercial communications are accordingly adhered to.
  • Events: ensure seasonal events are covered online, and represent the brands as and when required at key meetings/events.
What You’ll Bring:
  • A passion for creating consumer-focused content for everyone and ensuring it serves a diverse audience
  • You know which trends are currently affecting the parenting market.
  • Have a good feel for topics and an in-depth specialist knowledge.
  • A good understanding of SEO best practice and constantly changing digital best practice.
  • High level of attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and organise your time effectively.
  • You have vast experience in writing news articles, and in-depth features.
  • You have experience with people management
  • You are data fluent and have a thorough knowledge of analytics.
  • You have a hunger to lead, along with a collaborative mindset, a can-do attitude and a willingness to help the team evolve
  • Your writing and communication skills are of the highest standard
  • You can create clear and well-presented photography to support articles and are happy to appear in the content when necessary
  • You are self-motivated, display excellent time management, understand prioritisation, are self-organised and have a hands-on mentality
