Role:  Digital Designer
Location:  Handforth, Cheadle, United Kingdom
About the role:
Sitting within a fast paced, highly responsive area of the business, the Digital Designer supports client briefs through creating powerful and impactful digital content for multitude of different projects. The Digital Designer will proactively manage design quality, accuracy and consistency across all creative work. Working across microsite and web content, customer brand stores, commercialising media, product and campaign assets, and email concepts and content, this role is required to execute projects of all sizes and deliver to a high standard of creative excellence and skill.  Reporting to the Design Team Lead, the Digital Designer is part of a team of (size & make up of team).
What you will be doing:
  • Deliver on briefs from concept to completion via working collaboratively across teams on ideation, creation and implementation.
  • Staying on track with emerging digital trends and engaging with the wider digital creative community
  • The ability to take complete ownership of projects, including taking brief directly from client, presenting initial designs to client and managing the project until delivery.
  • Be available to assist the account management and design team with offline design briefs as appropriate
  • A strong understanding of conceptualisation, graphic design, illustration, typography and ecommerce standards
  • Demonstrate strong UX/ UI and design thinking for the web, digital, ecommerce and social advertising
  • Define the look and feel for a variety of digital design projects whilst implementing existing brand guidelines
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues
What you need to be great in this role:
  • Highly creative with the ability to produce design collateral within brand guidelines and agreed timescales.
  • Excellent digital design skills, knowledge and a portfolio that shows digital work
  • Awareness of emerging digital design trends
  • Understanding of typography, layout, colour and grid structures
  • A working knowledge of web page design, banner creation, email design and social media asset creation
  • The aptitude to learn new software and programmes efficiently and effectively
  • Good knowledge of digital processes to deliver quality solutions
  • Confident and articulate, with the ability to voice and share ideas and opinions both internally and with clients
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
  • 3  years of relevant experience in:
- Digital
- Print
- Motion Graphics
- Web Design
- UX-UI
- Artwork
- Production
