As Equipment Editor, you will lead and manage golf equipment content for todays-golfer.com, working with the Digital Editor to set the strategy for our equipment section. Your work will help to increase users, sessions, overall page views, number of pages viewed per user, and dwell time across the category, while ensuring the rest of the equipment team understand and follow that strategy.
Ideally a passionate golfer playing to a high standard, you will be engrossed in the world of golf equipment with a deep-rooted knowledge of the category. You’ll be able to identify clubs, old and new, at the drop of a hat and explain, in detail, the differences between them, the key technologies, and their performance data on test in layman’s terms for our readers and viewers. You’ll be confident reviewing golf equipment, from metal to balls, lasers to shoes, and have a clear vision for the future of Today’s Golfer’s testing and review methods to ensure our equipment coverage leads, not follows, for our global audience.
You’ll be an experienced and published writer who, ideally, has experienced working in the golf industry, whether that be as a journalist, in PR or as a golf professional, keen to manage a constantly growing and evolving team of fellow equipment aficionados and set the standard for them to follow.
You’ll also have a keen eye for e-commerce, working alongside our dedicated team to offer our audience all the information and opportunities they need to make an informed buying decision at the best price.
This role can be flexible with location, however there would be a requirement to attend the Peterborough office at least twice a month for team collaboration.
