Vogue is looking for a passionate and experienced Fashion Writer (12 month FTC) to create innovative fashion content across digital, print and social.

The ideal candidate will have an encyclopaedic knowledge of fashion brands, products and emerging trends, with an eye for pitching on-the-day stories from the worlds of fashion, celebrity and beyond, as well as having an established network of industry contacts.
What you’ll be doing
  • Pitching and writing multiple fashion themed stories and news items for Vogue online, from daily news hits, trend reports and fashion takes on the news cycle, to larger features and exclusives.
  • Using your expert industry knowledge and contacts to suggest a wealth of news and features ideas that will keep Vogue at the forefront of the fashion conversation across digital and print.
  • Writing daily digital stories within our CMS, taking into consideration engaging headlines, impactful imagery and potential social angles.
  • Producing a high number of stories while also representing the brand at advertiser and industry events, as required.
  • Supporting the team out of hours on reactive coverage of events as required, such as the Met Gala, during awards season, and in fashion month.
  • Finding new voices and talent to highlight and bring into the Vogue world.
Who you are
  • Proven experience in writing fashion content to an exceptionally high standard.
  • Experience working in a digital editorial environment delivering to tight deadlines daily.
  • Experienced working at pace within a CMS and a good understanding of SEO.
  • Ability to grasp and understand Vogue’s unique tone and industry standing, and pitch and deliver content accordingly.
  • Thorough knowledge of a broad range of social media channels and a clear sense of what makes for engaging content on each platform.
  • Potential to be able to talk fluidly about all things fashion, styling and trend related in front of the camera.
  • Good range of editorial and PR contacts in the fashion industry and beyond.
