  • Act as key Finance Business Partner for the Retail Leadership Team and other Retail Stakeholders in interpreting management reporting to provide insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders and providing challenge to the business
  • Hold the business to account for P&L performance across Sainsbury’s identifying areas for value creation and building action plans that are put into place
  • Support the business in identifying risks and opportunities. Take the lead in prioritising these and work with the business to manage them
  • Complete ad hoc / bespoke analysis for the business area as required to drive improvements and provide decision support
  • Provide support and input into any Business Performance or Commercial Review process
  • Support the evolution & design of management reporting, ensuring it is fit for purpose, streamlined and aligns to that prepared for the other Retail Channels
  • Support the Retail & Finance Transformation and Performance & Planning teams to ensure analytical resource is used effectively and business priorities and resource allocation are well understood and aligned
  • Support other Business Partnering teams in producing robust and challenging store budgets
  • Success in this role will mean supporting the business in making decisions that enhance performance across Sales, Customer Satisfaction and Store Operating Profit
  • Ensures rigour around inputs into planned capital investments, business cases and projects as required
  • Provide finance education to Retail stakeholders as required
  • Stepping up to cover the Head of Finance where needed
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and various teams as required during busy times such as Budget, Corporate Plan etc.
