About Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE):

JDE is one of the world’s largest coffee suppliers and distributors with leading brands in beans, instant, capsules, ground coffee and tea, including DE, L’OR, Kenco, Jacobs, and Pret A Manger.

Based in Amsterdam and Utrecht, JDE’s relationship with Havas has been growing significantly over the past 7 years in communications strategy, digital and offline activation, performance, and ad operations. As the lead media partner agency, Havas is responsible for 50+ JDE countries across EMEA, APAC and LatAm, including its top markets Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, and United Kingdom.

The Havas Global Team working on JDE brings together culturally diverse, high-performing global specialists based in London, Paris, Madrid, and Barcelona, across account management & client service, strategy, digital operations & activation, data & measurement, and investment. The Team is leading the global relationship and working closely with the JDE Global Media & Digital and Procurement Teams. The Havas Global Team is guiding and governing 50+ local Havas offices to drive excellence and best practice throughout JDE’s media strategy, planning and activation.

About the Role
This is an exciting role that is pivotal to shaping and leading one of the world’s largest coffee suppliers and distributors. We’re looking for a “can-do” attitude and “team-first” player to join our digital team.

The Digital Manager will work alongside the Head of Digital to deliver on global strategic priorities, drive quality and innovative solutions, and ensure adherence to overall digital planning, activation and operational best practices by local markets. The Digital Manager will work in close collaboration with the account teams and will coordinate with Havas specialists (e.g. data, adops, programmatic experts).In addition, the role will oversee the growth and development of our Global Digital Executive, directly reporting to the Digital Manager.
Job Description :
Key Responsibilities
  • You will manage and work with global and local teams of specialists to create perfectly aligned communication solutions and share exchange of best practice.
  • You will be a key member in developing innovative digital strategies that take into account the consumers’ decision-making process and that respect the role of offline channels.
  • You will also develop the implementation approach for this strategy alongside channel specialists within the team.
  • You are always up to date on digital developments and new digital solutions and inform your clients accordingly.
  • You build good relationships with key media partners to provide the best service and access to products and resources.
  • You will manage and review the local execution of digital strategy, implementation and reporting.
  • You will play a leading role in the digital training of staff and in the development of clients and staff on all digital topics.
Skills
  • 4+ years’ experience in digital marketing field – media planning/activation preferred, digital media & tech savvy and a passion for staying on top of trends
  • General understanding of digital technology partners (i.e. IAS, GMP)
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Confident and passionate presenter.
  • Strong sense of problem solving, critical thinking, and solutions-oriented creativity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with other departments
  • Strong project management and managerial skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
