Role purpose
The role of HR Operations Team Lead is to oversee and manage the day to day activities of People Services Team for Europe and Americas . This role is to ensure seamless, integrated, efficient high-volume HR activities are provided to all employees and managers for corporate and retail, enabling regional/global consistency and economies of scale. You are responsible for ensuring smooth operations is of employee lifecycle activities within Tier 1 and Tier 2 including triage for employee relation cases. This position is an instrumental role in implementing and improving HR processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within organization and to deliver on HR processes in line with HR services strategy, HR delivery/company model for regions in scope.. The PS Team Lead has overall responsibility to execute the delivery of People Services activities, employee relations, best practices, Aesop compliance and labour relations, HR initiatives and project within the regions.
Role responsibilities include, but not limited to –
Managing agreed HR operating model focusing on HR process improvements and case management:
  • Overseeing workload distribution and volumes to determine anticipated needs and to refine processes to achieve operational excellence and positive employee experience
  • Following on agreed and embed measures (including SLAs) focusing on accuracy, quality and responsiveness
  • Leading workflow for documented SOPs and maintain People Services processes (focusing on hire to retire cycle), knowledge base, case management technology and service level agreements.
  • Monitoring issues and queries in order to analyze trends and key metrics.
  • Report on performance versus service level agreements and progress towards recommended actions for improvement including RCA
  • Providing input to and feedback on HR policies and initiatives developed by the CoE/HR leads including post-implementation effectiveness
  • Managing complex enquiries by researching, gathering support information and soliciting input working with appropriateteam member for escalating the query
  • Staying informed of key Human Resources issues/events and policy changes that impact enquiries, and to communicate this information
HR Technology management: ensuring systems are set up for proper business and HR support:
  • Leading HRIS modules improvements input for the regions; building on system awareness among HR Teams, managers and employees together with HRIS team
  • Ensuring Workday data integrity for regions in scope for inputs such as Anaplan, year end, pay review, right to work and other HR calendar initiatives and other daily operations linked with employee's life cycle
  • Leading global ticketing system “Zendesk”  for HR and payroll workflow and analytics
Leadership: managing HR team in order to meet stakeholders’ expectations and seamless employee experience of HR function:
  • Developing and managing a reliable, knowledgeable, agile and efficient team
  • Transitioning to line manager ownership of people matters
  • Ensuring all matters are handled appropriately and effectively with minimal risk to the business
  • Providing regular training and coaching to team, ensuring compliance with appropriate laws and policies
Project Managements: leading various HR related projects:
  • Managing and delivering on various HR related projects across the globe or in the region
  • Triage the Employment Relation activities to ensure the timely delivery of an outcome with relevant stakeholder and working collaboratively with HR Advisors/HRBP’s in ensuring all Employee Relations matters are meeting local employment legislation, minimising risk to the business
  • Manage other specific projects from A to Z by exhibiting possessed business acumen and leadership skills
  • Managing change management where relevant
This is a full time position operating with a hybrid working pattern. This is a fixed term contract until July 2025
What we are looking for

  • Preferred experience within retail, customer service or hospitality leadership roles
  • Progressive experience with an HR shared service highly regarded and preferred
  • Experience in people management
  • Prior experience in employment laws, regulations and legislations on various markets
  • Process improvement and/or project management experience
  • Experience in global organisations preferred
  • Prior experience in managing employee lifecycle
  • Knowledge of HR technology, ideally Workday & ticketing systems such as Zendesk or Service Now
  • Change management experience preferred
  • Commitment to ongoing development of knowledge and understanding of best practice HR solutions
