About the Role
WeWork is looking for a talented Lead, Marketing Events & Partnerships to join the Global Marketing team, based in London. This role will focus on planning, executing, and evaluating a diverse range of marketing events to promote the WeWork brand and generate sales pipeline. The role requires a detail-oriented planner with project management skills, an understanding of the full event planning and marketing cycle, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. The Lead, Marketing Events & Partnerships will support comprehensive events, manage budgets, and be responsible for logistics to ensure flawless execution of event and partner opportunities. They will focus on events and projects that include, but are not limited to, managing a scalable events framework, potential new member and existing member activations, high profile thought leadership events, consumer, broker and CRE industry events, external partnership proposal and management (including comarketing events), and marketing assets. The successful candidate will be collaborative, successful in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills and a track record of bringing events and partnerships from concept to execution.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Marketing Events Managers and Global Events Partnerships Manager to execute global and regional events in collaboration with all marketing departments and external stakeholders.
  • Manage event and marketing materials, including but not limited to, checklists, run-of-shows, event registration sites, and onsite event materials.
  • Cultivate & manage relationships with potential vendors, providers and partners to stay on top of new and potential opportunities (both paid and barter).
  • Support administrative aspects of event logistics, including vendor onboarding and management, venue sourcing, contracts, supply ordering, and staffing.
  • Consult with local teams as needed on best practices, recommendations and toolkits to enable success.
  • Lead/participate in marketing team meetings, sales training sessions, company meetings, and industry events as needed.
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you:
  • Have 4+ years of proven experience in Marketing Events (or related field)
  • Experience in managing cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience in event planning and production
  • Excellent project management, time management and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Be an outstanding team player, embodying the WeWork spirit and values.
  • Be a top-tier collaborator with the ability to operate cross-functionally.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects quickly.
  • Passion for a fast paced environment.
